What comes in your mind when you say “La Tortura”? We’ve all danced till the morning light on this song in 2005 and it’s still a good song to listen to. The song achieved immediate success and all the radio were playing it at that time. Behind this success is the Columbian singer- Shakira – and the Spanish singer – Alejandro Sanz. “La Tortura” it’s said to be the sixth most successful song in Shakira’s career, after: “Hips don’t lie”, “Whenever, Wherever”, “Underneath your clothes”, “She wolf”, “Waka, Waka”. The song was awarded with two Latin Grammy Awards for “The song of the year” and “The record of the year”. The song hit number one for 25 weeks.
